Daniel Hymanson is a documentary filmmaker based in New York City. He was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” in 2020 and included on DOC NYC’s “40 Under 40” list in 2021. His first feature, So Late So Soon, received support from the Sundance Institute and premiered at the 2020 True/False Film Festival. Released by Oscilloscope Pictures, So Late So Soon was shortlisted by the IDA Documentary awards for Best Feature and streamed on The Criterion Channel. Additional credits include Associate Producer on The Last Season (Independent Spirit Award nominee) and Western (Special Jury Prize at Sundance). Daniel is currently in production on his second feature film with support from Catapult Film Fund, The Gotham, and the Jewish Film Institute.
